5 Essentials for a Transformed Life
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 24th November 2018 6:00pm | Romans 12:2
The English word that is translated "transformed" in the original Greek language in Romans 12:2 is the same word from which we get our English word metamorphosis. Last week I spoke about how God does not want us to be like a caterpillar crawling around chewing leaves, but how he wants us to be a beautiful flying butterfly. God wants us to live in a new dimension radically different from the life we once lived. It happens by a renewing of our minds.Last week I began looking at 5 Essentials for a transformed life. I started with the importance of God's Word and the Holy Spirit. Tonight I want to look at the importance of Prayer and Thanksgiving in the transformation process.
The Importance of Forgiveness 2
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 21st October 2018 6:00pm | Ephesians 4:32
This Sunday evening I want to continue talking about forgiveness. We all know we should forgive, but often we find it difficult. I think this ia because we have a misunderstanding of what forgiveness looks like, and we don't know how to forgive. This message is bondage releasing and life transforming. Be sure not to allow the enemy to steal it from you.
The Importance of Forgiveness 1
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 14th October 2018 6:00pm | Ephesians 4:32
Hopefully we all recognise that God commands us to forgive those who have offended us, but when it comes to actually forgiving someone who has hurt us deeply, often our practice doesn't match our belief. Why is this? I believe it is because we don't really understand what forgiveness is. So tonight I'm going to start by explaining what forgiveness is not, and in the weeks ahead I will explain what forgiveness is and how to walk in it. This is life changing, liberating stuff, don't let the enemy rob you of walking in the freedom it brings.
What had the disciples not understood?
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 7th October 2018 6:00pm
There's a passage in Mark 8 just after Jesus had fed the multitude when He walks on water. The disciples seeing him are terrified thinking He was a ghost but Jesus tells them to take courage and not be afraid. Then Mark records "the disciples were completely amazed because they had not understood about the loaves". Tonight I want to ask the question What had the disciples not understood? There are some principles here that I will draw out that will help us all on our journey with God.
The Sound of Faith
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 8th July 2018 6:00pm | Mark 11
Growing up in church I regularly heard preachers trying to encourage an answer to prayer say "have faith" or "just belive", but none of them told me how to "have faith" and how to "just believe". I grew up not knowing what faith looked like or sounded like. I'm guessing many of you will have had the same experience. So in an attempt to address this, thisevening I'm thinking about what aperson with faith sounds like. To help even further I will briefly contrast this with the sound of the person full of unbelief.
Signs and Wonders
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 1st July 2018 6:00pm | Mark 11
What you need to know about faith
Have you ever sat in church and heard the preacher say "with God all things are possible" and then wondered how to grasp the possible for the impossible situation in front of you? I'm sure the answer is "yes", so over the next couple of Sunday evenings I'm going to teach about faith and how you can step from theory to reality.

Where wisdom is not found
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 3rd June 2018 6:00pm | Proverbs 28
We live in a society where most peoples view of the world is influenced by newspapers, television, and by celebreties. Dare I say I believe that mosy young people's understanding of spiritual matters is influenced more by Harry Potter than the Bible? Our source of wisdom should not be philosiphers, politicians, popstars, or even princesses, but the Word of God. This evening I will talk about where we can find true wisdom that will build a firm strong foundation for our lives.

Objections to Healing
by Pastor Ian Sharp, Sunday 14th January 2018 6:00pm
Following on from last week's message on Paul's "thorn in the flesh" this Sunday evening I am going to address other objections to healing that people cite, namely that Timothy had an upset stomach, and that Trophimus was left behind by Paul in Miletus sick. As we shall see, just like Paul's "thorn in the flesh" they can simply explained.
